About CREDAI Chennai
CREDAI BUILDS CREDIBILITY
Established in 1999, CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India) is an apex body of organised real estate developers representing 20,000 members spread across 21 States and 220 City Level Chapters in India.
CREDAI has been the guiding force of the growing real estate sector in India, bringing together the majority of organised private developers on a single platform, to ensure rapid development in the sector. The real estate industry is India’s second largest source of employment and contributes around 10% to its GDP. CREDAI seeks to create a favorably policy climate to fulfill its vision of ‘housing for all’.
CREDAI has become the most preferred platform for pan-lndian discourse on housing through strong networking with the government, policy makers, investors, financial institutions, and real estate developers. CREDAl’s initiatives have been fruitful in the liberalisation of FDI and investment regimes, streamlining of approvals and creation of financial instruments.
CREDAI has adopted a voluntary code of conduct to ensure the highest ethical standards among its members. CREDAI safeguards consumer interest by setting up grievance redressal forums in all its city level associations.
CREDAI Chennai (formerly known as CREDAI Tamil Nadu), was established in 2011 with 58 members and currently has 150 members.
